Secret Scarlet Update

wip update

“For you I will shake God from his gilded throne so we can spend our eternity in heaven.”- Secret Scarlet

***********************************************************

Okay, so my baby (people laugh at me for still calling him that) was at Grandpa’s for the day so I got some alone time to do some writing.  But now I’m ripping my hair out over the ending of Secret Scarlet.  WC is almost 79k, so I’ve added 11k since Friday.  Interesting?  Not really lol.  And I said I was just editing ;)

Seriously, it’s done now.  I need to stop touching it.

I hate writing endings, especially when it forces me to make a ‘decision’ that I know the readers might hate me for.  OMG, it’s like the Zak vs. Christian thing in Christian’s Kisses, you can’t please everyone.

Angst aside it’s got a totally awesome ending line!  Ha ha, nailed that ;)

Have any of you ever been torn like that?  You have two characters that you love but you have to make one lose because there can be only one winner.  I need to stop getting attached to my bad guys….jeeze…

  1. I have, but that usually means I write a story that’s all their own. I don’t write stories that necessarily have a bad guy worth falling in love with.

    • I am super guilty of that. Lol, maybe I should make my bad guys BAD, not devilishly handsome.

      • Lol! That would do it.

        • Oh my god now that would be hard. Bad boys are so sexy…

  2. I’m guilty of getting attached to my bad guys too. I’m trying to write one now that has absolutely no redeeming qualities, personality-wise at least, haha. We’ll see how that goes.

    • Good luck ;) I guess when it becomes habit to make your bad guys that way it’s hard to change. I don’t know about you but that is one of my patterns in my writing. Lovable, hot bad guys lol.

      • Me too…also one of the patterns in the shows I tend to watch.
